Proud to be giving back to the community

Leadership in creating more eco-friendly homebuilding techniques – and a philosophy of giving back to the community - underscores the Devine Homes Tree House involvement.

Several of its major estates emphasise living in harmony with nature, and its specially created five-star energy home ranges feature techniques that it hopes will become housing construction benchmarks in the future.

For Managing Director, David Devine, it is an important issue.

“We must minimise our impact on nature, conserve energy and reduce our waste of natural resources,” he said.

“Right now we enjoy virtually unlimited use of all these things. But for how long? Will our children’s children still be able to enjoy them? Sadly, unless we begin doing something NOW, that’s very, very doubtful.”

Devine Limited – a major force in Australian construction

Constructing more than 2000 houses a year in four states, and creating some of the country’s most successful medium density projects, Devine Limited is a significant force in Australia ’s residential property market.

Among its home building operations in Queensland , New South Wales , Victoria and South Australia , are eco-friendly designs and estates, the largest of which is The Greens Estate at Point Cook.

The Devine Unit and Townhouse Division has now completed 1162 residential units with an end value of $327 million and is building another 1062 valued at $581 million. The landmark Victoria Point at Docklands is among them.

Devine Limited achieved revenues of $376.6 million in the year to June 2004, up 10.8% on the previous year. Net profit was up 18.5% to $15.65 million.
