Boral Masonry - Split Face Blocks

Where Used: Feature walls and retaining walls throughout Mosman Green.
Why Used: Boral designerblock™ Split Face blocks have a unique face texture to emulate the look of natural split stone, providing a contrasting textured appearance which complements the other building materials extremely well. As Boral designerblock™ is manufactured with a pre-sealing additive designed to reduce water absorption, the chance of efflorescence, mould and mild staining to the blocks is greatly reduced. Boral offers over 50 unique colour and texture possibilities. For Mosman Green, we chose to use Almond colour. For more information visit www.boral.com.au

Boral - Plasterboard

Where Used: Throughout the property
Why Used: Plasterboard consists of a gypsum core encased in a heavy-duty paper liner. Boral manufactures many types and sizes of plasterboard to suit a variety of applications.
We used several types of Boral Plasterboard throughout the Mosman Green property:-

Plasterboard - Standard Core
By far the most popular interior lining product used in domestic and commercial construction today. Available in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses, with either recessed or square edge profiles, Standard Core plasterboard is used where fire-resistance ratings are not required and was ideal for application in Mosman Green. Plasterboard - Wet Area Plasterboard™
Moisture resistant Boral Wet Area Plasterboard™ is used for lining of wet areas in bathrooms, shower recesses, laundries and toilets and is available in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses with recessed edges. This type of plasterboard was used in all the wet areas in Mosman Green. For more information

Plasterboard - SoundSTOP®
Produced in 10mm and 13mm thicknesses, Soundstop plasterboard was specifically developed by Boral for use in high-performance acoustic wall and ceiling systems not requiring fire-rating. SoundSTOP® plasterboard is utilised in QuiteZone®, CinemaZone®, PartiWALL® and other proprietary systems. In Mosman Green, Archicentre used the Quiet Zone System as part of the insulation solution for its media room. For more information visit www.boral.com.au

Boral Masonry - Aspen Stone

Where Used: Paths and courtyards
Why Used: For a contemporary and stylish look, Archicentre chose to use Aspenstone® pavers by Boral. The pavers come in a large rectangular shape and maintain consistent sizes foe easy and speed in the laying process. They have the aesthetics of real stone but the durability and flexibility of masonry and are also salt-safe as well as pre-sealed, making it ideal for around swimming pools or water features. Each paver is individually pre-coated with a sealer to reduce porosity and provide additional protection over and above that of a normal paver meaning these functional pavers reduce maintenance and cleaning time. Archicentre chose to use the warm colour of Almond.
