Archicentre Launches Reno Cam Education in NSW
www.archicentre.com.au
Archicentre has launched the first New South Wales ' Reno
Cam ' on the web as a major educational and training resource
for local government, TAFE Trade Colleges, investors, architects
in training and home owners considering renovation.
Reno Cam will allow people to track the progress of its Mosman
Green demonstration renovation over the next ten months.
Mr David Lawrence, State Manager
of Archicentre NSW & ACT
said: "Reno Cam will record the progress of the Mosman
Green renovation project that will transform 21 Killarney Street
Mosman from a run down, understated two bedroom cottage into
a spacious, contemporary and sustainable family home."
"Built in the post Federation
area, the cottage remains in an original condition. The only
modifications to the structure have been the addition of
a small rear extension consisting of a sunroom and laundry
and the renovation of the kitchen and bathroom in the 1970's."
"Through the Internet we are
providing the community anywhere in NSW or Australia the
opportunity to see a real time renovation."
Mr Lawrence said that the live Mosman Green Reno Cam information
is backed up with a free eBook Making Money on Renovation available
from the site.
"Already major partners in the
project Boral, Sydney Water and Mosman City Council have
established links to the Archicentre Mosman Green project
to take advantage of the new Reno Cam."
"Australians spent $17.6 billion
on renovations in 2003 with a 5% increased forecast, lifting
the expenditure to $18.5 billion in 2004."

The Mosman Green renovation and construction will be over
the next seven months and can be followed on http://www.archicentre.com.au/mosmangreen/index.htm
